◆ We will hold a briefing session on the field survey conducted by the Second Investigation Team for the 2024 Noto Peninsula Earthquake: Challenges and Solutions for Early Recovery

 The Noto Peninsula Earthquake, which occurred on January 1, 2024, caused strong shaking across a wide area of the Hokuriku region, resulting in soil liquefaction, landslides, tsunamis, building collapses, and fires.

 Center for Disaster Prevention Promotion Kochi Center for Disaster Prevention Promotion, in collaboration with the Kochi Prefectural Department of Crisis Management, the Kochi Prefectural Department of Public Works, and private companies both within and outside the prefecture, formed a disaster investigation team. Starting on April 19, 2024—approximately three months after the disaster—the team conducted a second field survey focused on the Okunoto region. We will hold a briefing session on the field survey as detailed below, and we invite you to attend.
