The Kochi University Degree Conferment Ceremony for the 2024 academic year will be held as follows.
Date and Time: Monday, March 24, 2025
Venue: Kochi Prefectural Cultural Hall (4-3-30 Honmachi, Kochi City)

◆To Family Members, Relatives, and Other Attendees (Information on Attending the Ceremony)
[Part 1 (Graduate School)]
You may watch the performance from the seats at the back of the Green Hall. Please come to the venue on the day of the event.
[Part 2 (Undergraduate)]
You can watch the performance from the second-floor seats in Orange Hall or view the live feed in Green Hall.
Please note that Advance online registration .
If you wish to attend, please review the section below titled “Advance Registration for Attendees” and submit your application using the “Advance Registration Form for Family Members, Relatives, and Other Related Parties.” Registration will open on Friday, March 7, at 10:00 a.m.
Please note that seating is limited, so we kindly ask that each graduate or program completor be accompanied by no more than two guests.
We kindly ask for your understanding and cooperation so that as many family members and friends of our graduates and program completers as possible may attend.
[Advance Registration for Attendees] (Graduates and program completers do not need to register)
・Family members may watch the performance from the second-floor seats in Orange Hall or view the live broadcast in Green Hall.
・The total capacity for Orange Hall and Green Hall combined is 800 seats. Applications will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis, and registration will close once capacity is reached.
・We will guide you to the Orange Hall and then the Green Hall in the order of registration.
・You cannot choose the hall or seat location.
・We plan to offer walk-in seating at Green Hall without the need for advance registration; however, please note that seating is limited and we may not be able to accommodate everyone. We appreciate your understanding.
1) Please register in advance using the URL below. (You will need to provide the student’s name, department, the registrant’s name, phone number, and email address. You may register up to two people at a time.)
2) You will receive an automatic reply email after submitting your application. If you do not receive the automatic reply email, please contact gm04★kochi-u.ac.jp. (Please replace ★ with @ when sending.)
3) On the afternoon of Tuesday, March 18, we will send a ticket (PDF file) to the email address you provided, indicating your admission time and the hall you will be entering. Please save the file or print it out and have it ready.
4) Please arrive at the venue within the designated time on the day of the event and show the staff the ticket screen on your smartphone or tablet, or a printed copy of your ticket.
Please note that if you arrive after the designated time or do not have a numbered ticket, you will be admitted at the same time as walk-in attendees, and we cannot guarantee you a seat.
5) Please note that we cannot accommodate requests to add participants after registration. There is no need to contact us if the number of participants decreases or if you need to cancel.
Application Period: Friday, March 7, 2025, 10:00 a.m. – Friday, March 14, 2025, 5:00 p.m.

How to Receive Your Diploma
Degree certificates for students other than the representatives receiving them at the ceremony will be handed out at the venue after the ceremony concludes.
Degree certificates for students unable to attend the ceremony will be mailed to the designated address. Instructions on how to request delivery of your degree certificate are available on the KULAS bulletin board.
Information on Commemorative Photos
Signboards commemorating graduation and program completion will be set up in front of the faculty buildings at the Asakura, Okayama-Toyo, and Monobe Campuses. Please feel free to use them for commemorative photos. [Display period: Tuesday, March 18 – Thursday, March 27]
