On Sunday, February 9, 2025, we will hold the "FY2024 IoP Project International Symposium: Promoting the Adoption of Agricultural Data Integration Platforms and Methods for Efficient Data Utilization by Farmers" at Kochi University’s Asakura Campus and online.
At this symposium, we will welcome leading researchers from the Netherlands—a world leader in large-scale intensive agriculture utilizing data-driven environmental control technologies—to deliver presentations. We will also introduce “WAGRI,” Japan’s leading agricultural data integration platform, and “SAWACHI,” Kochi Prefecture’s proprietary IoP cloud.Furthermore, we will hear case studies from farmers practicing data-driven agriculture and researchers supporting data-driven agricultural guidance in Kochi Prefecture—a leading region for next-generation protected horticulture. By deepening our understanding of accessibility and usability in data utilization, we will discuss the latest developments and challenges in data-driven agriculture.
