◆Kure Junior High School: Preparatory Learning for the Osaka-Kansai Expo—Screening of the film "LIFE: The Gift of Life" & Discussion on the Osaka-Kansai Expo
Date:
On Thursday, March 6, Kure Junior High School will hold a pre-expo learning session in preparation for the Osaka-Kansai Expo, featuring a screening of the film "LIFE: The Gift of Life" and a discussion about the Osaka-Kansai Expo.
In conjunction with the upcoming school trip to the Osaka-Kansai Expo by the current second-year students of Kure Junior High School in Nakatosa Town, we will be implementing an educational program aligned with the Expo’s theme. This event is planned and organized by Faculty of Regional Collaboration from Faculty of Regional Collaboration Kochi Faculty of Regional Collaboration and will be conducted as part of an ongoing educational program that continues beyond the school trip.
For this preparatory session, we have invited Mr. Kaichi Tanaka, Director of Expo and IR Promotion at the Osaka Convention & Tourism Bureau, and artist Mr. Masahiko Hashimoto to discuss the Expo’s theme, “A Future Society Where Life Shines.”
In addition, following the visit to the Expo, we will create educational opportunities for students to express their memories of the experience—what they saw, felt, and learned—in various ways, thereby fostering their ability to explore and express themselves. Through post-visit learning, we will implement an educational program that encourages students to reflect on life and daily living, leading to creative activities that “envision the future of Nakatoza.”
If you have a moment, please do take a look.
