We are hosting the "BOOKJACKET REDESIGN Exhibition," a joint exhibition featuring work by students enrolled in the "Design Theory" and "Graphic Design" courses.
This exhibition focuses on the redesign of book covers, serving as an attempt to visualize books woven together with beautiful words and illustrations. While book covers are often referred to as “dust jackets” overseas and treated as waste, in Japan, these covers are cherished and carefully wrapped around the books. We invite you to enjoy seeing what kinds of books attract university students, how they interpret them, and how they transform these interpretations into new cover designs. We hope you’ll imagine these books stacked on the shelves of a bookstore.
