The 27th Educational Research Meeting of the Special Needs School Affiliated with the Faculty of Education, Kochi University, will be held in a hybrid format, combining in-person and online participation.
At our special needs school, we aim to receive evaluations of our education by presenting our educational practices and research findings. As a center school for special needs education in Kochi Prefecture, we also conduct research progress reports, open classes, poster presentations, and breakout sessions to disseminate information to the community and contribute to future educational activities.
This educational research group is conducting a three-year research project on the theme of "Curriculum Management from the Perspective of Independent Living Activities in Education for People with Intellectual Disabilities." This year's final year will include a research presentation, open lessons, and breakout sessions for each department. We will also welcome Mr. Naoto Shimoyama, a part-time lecturer in the Music Department at Ueno Gakuen Junior College and a part-time lecturer at the Teacher Training Facility for the Department of Physical Therapy at the University of Tsukuba, to give a lecture on the theme of "Independent Living Activities in Special Needs Schools for People with Intellectual Disabilities: Concepts and Practical Teaching." Those interested are encouraged to participate.
