◆ Lawn Bowls Experience Session ~ Connect, Experience, and Explore Through Lawn Bowls ~ We are pleased to announce the upcoming Lawn Bowls Experience Session.

Date:

Lawn bowls is a global sport that originated in the UK and has a history of over 500 years. Players roll bowls the size of a pomelo toward a jack—a small ball about the size of a tangerine placed 20 to 30 meters away—and compete to see who can get their bowls closest to it.

At Kochi University, the general education course "Practical Sports Science" not only teaches practical lawn bowls skills but also provides opportunities to explore the sport’s historical background and its diverse forms. Furthermore, Kochi University is the only university in Japan that incorporates lawn bowls—a sport rarely experienced elsewhere in the country—into both its educational curriculum and research activities.

This event is open to everyone, including students, faculty and staff, and members of the general public. We look forward to seeing you there.
