Kochi University’s Organization for Promoting Regional and Global Connections Will Hold a Kickoff Symposium
Date:
To commemorate the launch of the “Organization for Promoting Regional and Global Connections,” established this past April, our university will host a kickoff symposium.
Under the theme “Transforming Regional Challenges into Global Knowledge, and Global Knowledge into Regional Strength,” this symposium will feature a keynote address by Mr. Nobuo Haruna, President of Tokyo University of Foreign Studies. In addition, during the panel discussion, the three units—Regional Collaboration, International Collaboration, and Global Education—will present specific case studies of their efforts to solve local challenges and discuss the practical activities promoted by the Organization. Furthermore, we will reflect on the new role of a university rooted in Kochi yet connected to the world, and discuss approaches to co-creation that bridge the local community and the international community, as well as future prospects.
We hope you will join us.
