Establishment of the Young Researchers Evaluation Support Organization and the Special Research Promotion Support Office

Following the selection of the “Training of Innovative Marine Technology Researchers” project under the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology’s Heisei 22 Fiscal Year Science and Technology Promotion Coordination Fund program titled “Promotion of the Development of Independent Research Environments for Young Researchers,” Kochi University established the Young Researchers Evaluation Support Organization and the Special Support Office for Research Promotion on June 1, Heisei 22, to enhance and strengthen the support system for this initiative.
This initiative aims to organize an “Innovative Marine Technology Research Hub” by pooling Kochi University’s human and material resources in marine science research. To this end, it appoints young researchers as faculty members through a new recruitment system for young researchers, with the goals of fostering marine science researchers and establishing a world-class research hub in new fields of marine science.
