Keiko Kumagai, Specially Appointed Assistant Professor at Kochi University ( Science Research Center), received the Best Poster Award at the 7th European Conference on Marine Natural Products, held in Sweden from August 14 to 18, 2011.
To date, numerous secondary metabolites with unique chemical structures and biological activities have been isolated from the marine dinoflagellate genus Amphidinium. At this conference, we presented the structural analysis of a novel 20-membered macrolide that we isolated as a result of our ongoing search for new compounds.
