Support for Students and Researchers
We extend our heartfelt sympathies to all those affected by the Tohoku-Pacific Ocean Earthquake.
Kochi University is providing the following support to students and researchers whose educational and research activities have been disrupted by the disaster.
1. Course Enrollment for Affected Undergraduate and Graduate Students
We will accept affected undergraduate and graduate students as special auditing students. No tuition fees will be charged.
We will consult with the students’ home universities to ensure that credits earned are recognized as credits from their respective institutions.
2. Research Support for Affected Graduate Students
If a suitable research supervisor is available at our university, we will accept affected graduate students as special research students.
Tuition fees will not be charged.
3. Use of Research Space
(An application to a researcher at our university is required.)
4. Use of the Library and Internet
(Please present your student ID or other identification.)
5. Use of Accommodations in Connection with Research Space Use
(These will be provided free of charge for the time being.)
