Yasutaka Watanabe, a first-year student in the Department of Agriculture at the Graduate School of Integrated Human and Natural Sciences, received the Student Outstanding Paper Presentation Award at the 20th Annual Academic Research Conference of the Society for Forest Utilization.

 At the 20th Annual Academic Conference of the Society for Forest Utilization, held at the Ishio Cultural Hall in Hamada City, Shimane Prefecture, on November 29–30, 2013, Yasutaka Watanabe, a first-year student in the Department of Agriculture at the Graduate School of Integrated Human and Natural Sciences, received the Student Award for Outstanding Paper Presentation.

 Mr. Watanabe’s presentation, “Changes in Sediment Runoff in Plantations Due to Differences in Management Practices,” was highly praised, leading to his selection for this award, which is chosen from among presentations by student members.
