The Medical School Kyudo Club won the men's team title in the kyudo division at the 69th West Japan Medical Students' Comprehensive Sports Festival.

At the "69th West Japan Medical Students' Comprehensive Sports Festival: Kyudo Division," held from August 10 to 13, 2017, at the Yamaguchi Kirara Expo Memorial Park Multipurpose Dome in Yamaguchi Prefecture, the Faculty of Medicine Kyudo Club won the men's team competition (77 hits out of 120 shots) and placed second in the women's team competition (33 hits out of 60 shots).The men’s team achieved a two-peat by winning the championship for the second consecutive year, just as they did last year, and the women’s team also secured second place for the second year in a row. As a result, they earned the right to compete in the “51st All-Japan Medical Students’ Comprehensive Sports Festival Championship.”
The "51st All-Japan Medical Students Comprehensive Sports Tournament Championship" was held on September 23 and 24, 2017, at the Akita Prefectural Budokan. In the individual competition, Eri Anzaki, a fifth-year medical student, and Mamoru Mazaki, a third-year medical student and vice-captain of the Kyudo Club, placed ninth and tenth, respectively.
