Assistant Professor Yoichiro Higashi of the Department of Pharmacology in the School of Medicine has received the 2017 Research Encouragement Award from the Metal Bioscience Society for his 2017 paper titled “Influence of extracellular zinc on M1 microglial activation.”
An award ceremony was held during the Metal Bioscience Research Society 2017 social gathering on October 13, 2017, where a certificate was presented by Masao Sato, President of the Society.
