Professor Taku Fujiwara of the Department of Agricultural Sciences, Division of Natural Sciences, and Associate Professor Kenji Ishida of the Department of Clinical Medicine, Division of Medical Sciences, were honored by the Japan Society for the Promotion of Science (JSPS) for their significant contributions to the review of the FY2017 Grants-in-Aid for Scientific Research (Kakenhi) program. President Wakiguchi presented them with certificates of commendation.
This award recognizes them as members selected from among approximately 5,300 committee members who conducted the first-stage review (document review) of the Grants-in-Aid for Scientific Research (Kakenhi) program from a professional perspective, based on the results of their evaluations and for providing meaningful review comments.
