 Yuri Tamura, a sixth-year medical student (Kochi University School of Medicine, Medical Education Student Committee BRIDGE), presented her paper titled “A Survey on the Needs for Medical English Education Among Medical Students Enrolled in the Research Track” at the 50th Annual Meeting of the Japanese Association for Medical Education on Saturday, August 4, and received the “Outstanding Presentation Award.”
 The 50th Annual Meeting of the Japanese Association for Medical Education was held over two days, Friday, August 3, and Saturday, August 4, at Tokyo Medical and Dental University, with over 1,300 students and medical educators in attendance. Yuri Tamura and Junya Hara presented a poster in the student session and were selected for the "Excellence Award" from among 50 presentations.
 The "Kochi University School of Medicine Student Committee for Medical Education (BRIDGE)," to which the two belong, was established in 2014 with the aim of promoting student participation in medical education. Seeking to improve the education they receive, the group participates as official members in university committees related to medical education and acts as a bridge between students and faculty.
