Professor Akira Inoue, Professor in the Department of Clinical Medicine, School of Medicine, and Director of the International Projects Division at the Center for International Collaboration, discusses the decision to deliver special lectures at four universities in the Republic of Kazakhstan and the progress of student exchange programs.

It has been decided that Professor Akira Inoue, Professor in the Department of Clinical Medicine, Faculty of Health Sciences, and Director of the International Projects Division at the Center for International Collaboration, will deliver special lectures at four universities in Kazakhstan from September 29 to October 9, 2019. These include the National University of Kazakhstan, with which our university has an inter-university agreement; Semey National Medical University, with which we have a departmental agreement; as well as Nazarbayev University and KazGUU.
Additionally, during this period, Professor Inoue will participate in the International Education Fair 2019 being held in Kazakhstan. As Head of the International Projects Division and a member of the Public Relations Planning Committee, he plans to promote our university and Kochi Prefecture.
In February 2018, our university signed agreements with the National University of Kazakhstan and Semey National Medical University. Subsequently, Hinako Inoue, a student in the Tosa Sakigake Program’s International Human Resources Development Course, studied abroad at the National University of Kazakhstan, while Shogo Yoshida, a student in the Department of Medicine, Faculty of Medicine, conducted training and internships at both universities.This year, Wakaba Ozaki and Mayu Tsuda from the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences are scheduled to participate in the “Kazakhstan World Heritage Study Course,” organized by the National University of Kazakhstan, from August 18 to August 31.
We look forward to further promoting academic and student exchanges between the universities and strengthening the ties between the Republic of Kazakhstan and Kochi Prefecture.
