Professor Tadashi Hara of the Department of Science and Engineering, Faculty of Education and Research, was presented with a certificate of appreciation by Mr. Sadahiro Goto, Branch Manager of the Shikoku Branch of West Nippon Expressway Company Limited, in recognition of his efforts regarding the slope failure that occurred in the Shinjiki district of Takamatsu City following the heavy rains in October 2019. Professor Hara promptly and thoroughly inspected the site and provided technical advice based on his expertise to facilitate the lifting of the road closure.
