◆Vice President of Anhui University and others visited Kochi University

On Wednesday, January 22, 2025, a delegation from China—including Vice President Wang of Anhui University, Vice President Zheng of Anhui University of Technology, Director Yao of the Anhui Provincial Department of Education, Faculty Tang of Anhui Faculty, and Director Cao of Anhui University of Technology—visited our university.
Kochi Prefecture and Anhui Province established a friendship partnership in 1994, and our university and Anhui University signed an academic exchange agreement in 2002. This visit was organized in response to Anhui Province’s expressed hope for promoting student exchanges between the two regions.
During the event, there was a presentation on Kochi University and a review of past exchanges with Anhui University. In addition, discussions were held regarding future inter-university exchanges, including with Anhui University of Technology and Anhui University of Science and Technology, which were visiting our university for the first time.
In addition, the event served as a valuable opportunity to hear active proposals regarding exchanges among young people—the future leaders of our society—including invitations extended through the Japan Science and Technology Agency (JST)’s “International Youth Science Exchange Program (Sakura Science Program).”
