◆ The 2024 Disaster Prevention Supporter Certification Ceremony was held.

On March 24, 2025, we held the certificate awarding ceremony for disaster prevention supporters for fiscal year 2024.
Kochi University has a certification system for "Disaster Prevention Supporters" and "Disaster Prevention Instructors" to support students' independent efforts in disaster prevention. Students who take four designated general education courses and earn credits are given a certification exam, and upon passing, they are issued a Disaster Prevention Supporter certificate. In the 2024 academic year, four students passed the exam.
At the certification ceremony, Director Sasahara of the Disaster Prevention Promotion Center explained to the students who were certified as disaster prevention supporters that, as the next step, their achievements in independent efforts (such as disaster prevention drills, off-campus learning like disaster prevention lectures, and first aid training) would be recognized, and if they passed the certification exam, they would be issued a disaster prevention instructor certificate. He also expressed his hope that they would continue their disaster prevention learning and achieve even greater success.
