総合科学系黒潮圏科学部門の奥田一雄特任教授は、沖縄県で行われた日本藻類学会第49回大会において、日本藻類学会特別賞（岡村賞）を受賞しました。
日本藻類学会特別賞は我が国の藻類学の発展に顕著な貢献をし、長年にわたり日本藻類学会の発展に寄与した者に授与される賞です。また、この賞の別称は、我が国における藻類学の礎を築かれた岡村金太郎博士を記念して「岡村賞」とされています。
