 Ryo Suwaki (Katsunobu Mori Laboratory, Faculty of Science and Engineering), a second-year graduate student (as of 2024) in the Tosa Sakigake Program, received the Branch President's Award from the Chugoku-Shikoku Branch of the Chemical Society of Japan.

 This award is given to outstanding students in the Chugoku-Shikoku branch of the Japan Chemistry Association, with the aim of encouraging students studying chemistry-related fields. It is awarded to students who are expected to graduate from chemistry-related departments or courses and who have achieved excellent academic results.

 Ms. Suwaki has an excellent academic record, and her master's thesis topic was "Sustainable Graphene Synthesis from Plant Biomass Using Iron and Its Electrochemical Applications." Her dedication to research and the results of her work were recognized, leading to her receiving this award.
