◆Members of the Track and Field Team won championships and placed in the 73rd Shikoku Track and Field Championships and the 67th Shikoku Four-Prefecture Track and Field Inter-prefectural Meet

 Seven athletes from our university’s track and field team competed as representatives of Kochi Prefecture at the 73rd Shikoku Track and Field Championships and the 67th Shikoku Four-Prefecture Track and Field Inter-Prefectural Meet, held on Saturday, August 23, and Sunday, August 24, 2025.

 Aika Tojo (2nd year, Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences), who competed in the women’s 100m hurdles, took first place, while Tsukino Sugiyama (3rd year, Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences) finished third in the women’s 10,000m walk, with both athletes earning spots on the podium.In the men’s 800m, Masato Nishizono (3rd year, Faculty of Science and Engineering) narrowly missed the podium, finishing in 4th place, while in the men’s 100m, Ren Tsujimatsu (3rd year, Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences) placed 7th, both delivering strong performances.
