Ryo Ogasawara, a first-year graduate student in the Department of Science and Engineering (affiliated with the Fujishiro Laboratory in the Faculty of Science and Engineering), received the Encouragement Award at the 31st Young Ceramist Meeting in the Chugoku and Shikoku Regions, held on Saturday, November 29, 2025, at Kochi University’s Asakura Campus.
This award is selected based on the criteria of "presentations that are particularly outstanding in content, demonstrate originality, or show promise for the future," through a vote by university faculty members participating in this meeting.
Mr. Ogasawara gave a presentation titled “Local Structure and Luminescence Properties of Eu³⁺ Sites inEu³⁺-Containing Perovskite-Type Zirconate Solid Solutions ” and was selected as one of three recipients of the Encouragement Award from among approximately 90 presentations.
