 On Saturday, November 22, 2025, Assistant Professor Yuki Otsuka of the Department of Life, Environmental, and Medical Sciences in the School of Integrated Sciences received the Outstanding Young Researcher Presentation Award at the 7th Kansai Branch Conference of the Japanese Society for Food Science and Technology, held at Kyoto University’s Yoshida Campus.
 This research represented a novel approach to predicting sensory evaluation scores for craft beer by integrating sensory evaluation* results with comprehensive data on aroma components and applying machine learning. The study was highly recognized for its academic value in the field of food science, leading to this award.
