We held the 2025 Disaster Prevention Supporter Certification Ceremony

Kochi University has established a certification system for “Disaster Prevention Supporters” and “Disaster Prevention Instructors” to support students’ independent initiatives related to disaster prevention. Under this system, students who complete four designated general education courses, earn the required credits, and pass the certification exam are certified as “Disaster Prevention Supporters.”

In Reiwa 7, two students passed the certification exam, and a ceremony to award Disaster Prevention Supporter certificates was held on March 30, Reiwa 8.

At the certification ceremony, Director Sasahara Center for Disaster Prevention Promotionoffered words of encouragement to the certified students, saying, “While obtaining your certification as disaster prevention supporters is a major step forward, I look forward to seeing you continue to grow into individuals who can take the initiative in your communities and workplaces and demonstrate leadership by guiding those around you.”
