第56回室戸貫歩（11月26日～27日）

　It’s that time of year again for the Muroto Kanpo.

　The Muroto Kanpo is an event initiated by the Kochi University Karate Club to strengthen the physical and mental resilience of its members; it involves walking approximately 90 kilometers from the Asakura Campus in Kochi City to Cape Muroto through the night.

　当日は、午前9時にスタ－トして、翌日の午後３時までに到達しなければ失格扱いですが、毎年参加者の約６割程度の方が貫歩します。近年は、空手道部員だけでなく、学生、教職員、留学生さらに他大学の学生やＯＢ・ＯＧなど毎年500名を超える方が参加しています。今年で56回目を迎え、今ではすっかり高知大学の名物行事として定着し、地域住民の方々のご理解と応援をいただきながら続けています。
　在学生はもちろん、一般の方の参加も大歓迎です。(ただし、高校生以下の方は参加できません。)

Goal	Cape Muroto (Plaza in front of the Shintaro Nakaoka Statue) 【We will issue a “Certificate of Completion” to participants who registered in advance and walked the entire route to Muroto by the final arrival deadline 】
Participation fee	1,000 yen per person (includes participation prize, towel, and insurance)
