◆Inspiration & Excitement in Science: Welcome to the University Lab—KAKENHI "Can Life Be Born from Dried Sperm and Cells!?—Let’s Learn About New Technologies for Preserving Mammalian Genetic Resources"

Date:

On Saturday, August 7, and Sunday, August 8, 2021, Faculty of Agriculture and Marine Science, will host “Inspiration & Excitement in Science: Welcome to the University Lab” (KAKENHI Grant): “Can Life Be Born from Dried Sperm and Cells!?—Let’s Learn About New Technologies for Preserving Mammalian Genetic Resources.”

This program is designed for high school students. Through lectures covering the process—including the world’s first successful birth of a calf derived from a fertilized egg created using freeze-dried sperm—and future developments, as well as hands-on training in the barns where Tosa Akaushi cattle are raised at the Center for Field Science Education and Research, we aim to convey the appeal and excitement of research. We encourage anyone interested to participate.
