Mai Nishimura, a senior in the Faculty of Education, received the 2017 Chugoku-Shikoku Branch President’s Award from the Chemical Society of Japan

 Mai Nishimura, a fourth-year student in the Science Education Course of the School Teacher Training Program in the Faculty of Education, has received the 2017 Chugoku-Shikoku Branch President’s Award from the Chemical Society of Japan.
 The Chugoku-Shikoku Branch President’s Award of the Chemical Society of Japan is a program designed to encourage students studying chemistry-related fields by recognizing outstanding students. It is awarded to students who are scheduled to graduate from chemistry-focused industrial high schools, technical colleges, universities, or graduate schools, and who meet criteria such as having particularly excellent academic performance in chemistry, a commendable research attitude, and outstanding research achievements.
 Mr. Nishimura has achieved outstanding academic results and, in terms of research achievements, has presented at the Chemical Society of Japan (twice) and at the High School-University Collaborative Science Education Research Presentation Conference (hosted by Kochi University and co-hosted by the Chugoku-Shikoku Branch). He was honored with the Branch President’s Award for meeting the criteria for this recognition.
