We provided food assistance to students
Release Date:
In response to the spread of COVID-19, which has led to a decrease in financial support from parents and guardians as well as part-time income, the university provided food assistance to students facing financial hardship.
Over the three days from June 3 to 5, food was distributed to a total of 318 students. The food consisted of rice donated by faculty and staff, rice and vegetables grown by the Faculty of Agriculture, Forestry and Marine Sciences, and emergency stockpiles owned by the university, such as parboiled rice and biscuits.
In addition, Eggmail Co., Ltd., a local company that actively participates in the Kochi University Tosa Food Business Creator Human Resource Development Project (Tosa FBC) and related initiatives such as the Tosa FBC Club, donated 3,400 eggs, which were also distributed.
In response to the spread of COVID-19, the University is utilizing the “Kochi University Sakigake Fund” and the “Kochi University Student Support Fund” to provide assistance to students. To ensure we can continue providing this support in a stable and sustained manner, we kindly ask for your generous cooperation.
