◆Announcement Regarding the Selection of Students to Receive Funding Under the FY2025 Next-Generation Researchers’ Challenging Research Program (SPRING)

 As part of our university’s “Next-Generation Marine Resource Researcher Development Project”—a component of the Japan Science and Technology Agency (JST)’s doctoral student support program, the “Next-Generation Researchers’ Challenging Research Program (SPRING)”—we have selected four students to receive funding starting this fiscal year.

・Department of Applied Natural Sciences, 1st Year: Mikihiro Nakagawa

・Haruki Tsuboi, 1st-year student, Department of Applied Natural Sciences

・Shota Tsurui, 1st-year student, Department of Applied Natural Sciences

・Seika Hashimoto, 1st-year student, Department of Applied Natural Sciences

 Under the university’s “Project for Fostering Next-Generation Marine Resource Researchers(Project Director: Yasuhiko Tsue, Dean of the Graduate School of Integrated Human and Natural Sciences) targets outstanding students enrolled in the three doctoral programs who are conducting research related to “the ocean”—a hallmark of our university. By providing an environment where students can devote themselves to research and an educational program that cultivates transferable skills, the project aims to ensure that graduates will play a central role in regional innovation across various fields as “next-generation marine resource researchers.”
