◆The Kochi University Athletics Association Soccer Club competed in the At Home Cup 2025: The 23rd Independence League All-Japan University Soccer Festival

On Tuesday, November 18, 2025, our university’s soccer team competed in the “At Home Cup 2025: 23rd Independence League All-Japan University Soccer Festival,” held at the Kiyose Uchiyama Sports Park Soccer Field (Tokyo).
In the tournament, we faced Hannan University, the representative from the Kansai region. We took an early lead with a goal by Ryotaro Ninomiya (second-year student, Faculty of Science and Engineering) shortly after kickoff, but we subsequently allowed them to come back and win, resulting in a 1–4 loss and our elimination in the first round.

*Independence League: A competition designed to provide playing opportunities for many college soccer players; it was established to address the need for matches distinct from those intended for each university’s top teams, as well as to serve educational purposes for the students.
