◆ A new initiative has begun to facilitate clinical trials leading to cutting-edge medical care by leveraging the "Kochi-ke @ LINE" network: "Community Healthcare × Cutting-Edge Medical Care"—a network-based clinical trial initiative originating in Kochi

高知大学医学部は、高知県全域の医療機関や介護施設等をICTで結ぶ「高知家＠ライン」（高知大学医学部 公衆衛生学 准教授 宮野伊知郎）と、高知大学医学部附属病院（次世代医療創造センター）が担う「最先端医療」を組み合わせることで、県民が自宅近くの医療機関からでも新しい治療法や薬の情報にアクセスし、治験・臨床研究に参加できる日本初の「地域発の治験モデル」の取組を開始しました。
Specifically,
・Kochi-ke shares information about clinical trials with local healthcare professionals and patients via LINE
・Kochi-ya uses LINE to facilitate the recruitment of clinical trial participants and provide smooth support throughout the trial
・治験参加中の患者さんが、高知大学医学部附属病院に毎回通うことなく、オンライン診療などにより地域で安心して継続できる体制を整備
As a result, opportunities for residents to participate in clinical trials will increase significantly, transcending geographical limitations, and we expect that the benefits of new drugs and medical technologies will reach a wider audience. We will promote this “Regional Healthcare × Advanced Medical Care” initiative as the “Kochi Model” throughout Japan and globally.
