Our university's track and field team won the championship at the 80th Chugoku-Shikoku Intercollegiate Championships and placed in the 79th West Japan Intercollegiate Championships.

At the 80th Chugoku-Shikoku Intercollegiate Track and Field Championships (commonly known as the 80th Chugoku-Shikoku Intercollegiate Championships), Ai Tojo ( Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences ) of our university’s track and field team won the women’s 100-meter hurdles, while Tsukino Sugiyama ( Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences ) placed third in the women’s 10,000-meter race walk, both achieving outstanding results.In addition, Yuzuki Sakuragi ( Faculty of Education student, Faculty of Education ) placed 5th in the women’s 400-meter dash.

In addition, nine athletes qualified by meeting the standard times and competed in the 79th West Japan Intercollegiate Track and Field Championships (commonly known as the 79th West Japan Intercollegiate Championships). Among them, Ai Tojo narrowly missed the podium but put up a strong performance, finishing in 6th place.

Athletes Aika Tojo and Tsukino Sugiyama have qualified for the 95th Japan Intercollegiate Track and Field Championships (commonly known as the Japan Intercollegiate Championships), to be held in Yokohama, Kanagawa Prefecture, in September.
