In our Nursing Education course, students learn practical skills for nursing students and young nurses by studying nursing methodologies for providing excellent care. In our Nursing Management course, students become familiar with the responsibilities of nursing managers and acquire management skills. They also learn innovative skills with which to solve practical problems with a broad perspective. With these two courses, we aim to develop excellent nursing leaders with skills in education and management.
In the area of maternal and pediatrics nursing, we offer two courses: Maternal and Pediatrics Nursing, and Practical Midwifery.
Maternal and Pediatrics Nursing
For the healthy development of the next generation, we aim to provide care for mothers and children in an integrated manner, including families in our exploration of health problems and factors that affect health, and thus supporting and promoting health and improving quality of life (QOL). To that end, we will strive to understand the health issues of our patients based on their cultural and social background and current theories surrounding mothers and children. We will also deepen our knowledge about the developmental issues of each stage of the life cycle, and explore what types of nursing are necessary to promote the sound development of children and support motherhood. Those who have completed the required number of credits in this course and have passed the required degree examination can obtrain a Master’s degree in Nursing.Practical Midwifery
Those who have earned the required number of credits in this course and passed the required degree examination will be eligible for the Master of Science in Nursing and the National Examination for Midwives. As a sexual and reproductive specialist, the student will acquire the skills necessary to care for reproductive health and women’s health. To that end, we will theoretically and systematically study related disciplines, including the latest developments in midwifery and obstetrics, and students will acquire advanced medical knowledge and skills through practical clinical learning as a member of a perinatal medical team. Furthermore, to develop an international perspective, we will examine the cultural and social backgrounds of women at all life stages, and explore and propose solutions for issues in nurturing the next generation. In our Health Care Support Nursing course, students as professional nurses, public health nurses, or Yogo teachers deepen their knowledge and their understanding of techniques for caring for people of all ages in hospitals and communities. We aim to train students to be excellent nursing professionals, nursing managers, nursing educators, and nursing researchers with outstanding practical abilities (information, assessment, regulation), research skills and ethics.
