Educational Philosophy

Faculty aims to develop high-quality teachers. In particular, it places a strong emphasis on teacher training programs designed to address educational challenges in Kochi Prefecture and contemporary issues.

Distinctive Features of Our Educational Program

A distinctive feature of this program is its integrated approach to training teachers for elementary and junior high schools (or special education schools). Through four years of continuous, practice-oriented coursework—during which students interact with children, school staff, and community members—students acquire the communication skills and practical teaching abilities necessary for a career in education. Furthermore, students enhance these skills by studying a wide range of liberal arts courses, as well as foundational courses in pedagogy and psychology, and subjects related to their chosen academic disciplines. Obtaining a teaching license is required for this program.
