While cutting-edge medical fields such as gene therapy, regenerative medicine, and reproductive medicine are emerging, the social environment surrounding medicine and healthcare is undergoing significant transformation. To respond effectively to these changes, it is essential to advance and strengthen medical science by striving for harmony not only between the natural sciences but also between the humanities—which focus on the human subject—and medicine.Therefore, this program guides graduates from a wide range of faculties—including those in the natural sciences (such as science, agriculture, pharmacy, and engineering) and the humanities (such as psychology, sociology, economics, and education)—toward medical science. We aim to cultivate researchers in the field of medical science who possess highly specialized knowledge and skills, as well as professionals capable of comprehensively addressing various social issues based on medical science.
