The Department of Medicine is guided by an educational philosophy that emphasizes the cultivation of high ethical standards and a rich humanity, as well as the acquisition of advanced medical knowledge and skills. In close collaboration with the Department of Integrated Sciences of the Kuroshio Region andand the Applied Natural Sciences Program. By establishing an educational and research framework that incorporates the paradigms of both natural and human sciences from these programs, we aim to cultivate professionals capable of advancing medicine and healthcare rooted in the regional characteristics of Kochi Prefecture, outstanding medical researchers with international standing, and excellent clinical specialists (excellent physicians) with a research mindset. We strive to achieve high-level medical research and healthcare with a broad foundation that can flexibly address diverse social needs.
