Introduction to the Master's Program in Science and Engineering

This department promotes education and research in basic sciences and science-based engineering fields. In the basic sciences, we teach the laws of nature and the methods for elucidating them across the fields of mathematics, physics, biology, and earth sciences, thereby cultivating highly specialized professionals with a solid foundation in basic sciences.In the science and engineering fields grounded in the natural sciences, we provide education in information science, applied chemistry, bioengineering, disaster science, and disaster prevention engineering. We aim to cultivate professionals who can acquire cutting-edge scientific knowledge and tackle regional challenges. This program offers a broad and practical education utilizing various methodologies, including theory, computation, experimentation, observation, and field surveys.
