Award Commemorative Lecture "Goby and Yabby Pumps: The Story of Goby Borrowing Shrimp Burrows".

She has been conducting research on crustaceans such as anadromous jacos, snails, and teppoebi, which are keystone species in tidal flat ecosystems, to clarify essential ecological findings on their symbiotic relationship with gobies. In addition to vigorous field research, he has also succeeded in quantitative behavioral observations using exquisite observation equipment in the laboratory. In recognition of this series of studies, he was awarded the Benthos Society of Japan Incentive Award.

受賞記念講演「ハゼとヤビーポンプ～エビの巣穴を間借りするハゼの話～」

干潟の生態系におけるキーストーン種であるアナジャコ類、スナモグリ類、テッポウエビ類などの甲殻類を研究対象として、おもにハゼ類との共生関係に関する基礎的な生態学的知見を明らかにする研究を展開してきた。精力的な野外調査に加えて、実験室内における精妙な観察装置を駆使して定量的な行動観察にも成功している。これら一連の研究が評価され日本ベントス学会奨励賞を受賞しました。
