Research by Mr. Manato Akishiba, a second-year student in the Graduate Program of Agriculture, Forestry and Marine Science, and Assoc. Prof. Yoshiro Nishio of the Multidisciplinary Science Division was published in Progress in Earth and Planetary Science.

　The study discovered lithium isotope compositions similar to those of Arima-type hot spring water in hot spring water from Okayama Prefecture, suggesting that slab-derived fluids may widely occur in the forearc region of southwest Japan.

　大学院農林海洋科学専攻2年生の秋柴愛斗さんと総合科学系複合領域科学部門の西尾嘉朗准教授の研究成果が、Progress in Earth and Planetary Scienceに掲載されました。

　本研究では、岡山県の温泉水から有馬型温泉水と類似したリチウム同位体組成が見出され、西南日本の前弧地域でスラブ起源流体が広く温泉水に含まれる可能性が示唆されました。
