Specially Appointed Prof. Kazuo Okuda of the Kuroshio Science Division received the Japanese Society of Phycology Special Award (Okamura Award) at the 49th Annual Meeting of the Japanese Society of Phycology held in Okinawa Prefecture.

　The award is presented to individuals who have made outstanding contributions to the development of phycology in Japan and to the Japanese Society of Phycology over many years.

　総合科学系黒潮圏科学部門の奥田一雄特任教授が、沖縄県で開催された日本藻類学会第49回大会において、日本藻類学会特別賞（岡村賞）を受賞しました。

　日本藻類学会特別賞は、我が国の藻類学の発展に顕著な貢献をし、長年にわたり日本藻類学会の発展に寄与した者に授与される賞です。
