Regional Collaborative Studies Major
With sociology, economics, and education as core academic fields, we cultivate professionals capable of contributing to regional revitalization and the regeneration and development of areas facing social and economic challenges.

Training of Advanced Regional Collaboration Leaders to Drive Regional Revitalization and Economic Development
With sociology, economics, and education as our core academic fields, we aim to provide graduate-level education that contributes to the development of advanced regional collaborative leaders. We will achieve this by promoting education related to the organization of collaborative learning and the formulation of long-term regional visions, while also fostering interdisciplinary learning in fields such as agriculture, fine arts, and sports—areas closely linked to resource development in the region’s industrial and cultural sectors.Specifically, we will cultivate professionals who possess: (1) the ability to organize “collaborative learning” within the community and train successors; (2) the ability to conceive and formulate long-term visions together with residents, and to widely persuade and explain these visions to the community; and (3) the ability to develop new resources and expand markets within the region.
