Lifelong Learning and Reskilling
Under the banner of the "Everyone in Kochi Is a Kochi University Student" initiative, Kochi University aspires to be a place of significance for everyone connected to Kochi—whether they are alumni, current residents, former residents, or simply have ties to the region.
To serve as a lifelong learning hub for everyone connected to Kochi, we offer a variety of programs focused on continuing education and reskilling.
List of Public Programs
Regular student
You can enroll as an undergraduate or graduate student at Kochi University and dedicate yourself to your studies and research with the goal of earning a degree.

Non-degree Student
This is a system that allows students to take one or more courses offered at the undergraduate or graduate level and earn credits.
[Application Period] First Semester: Early February; Second Semester: Mid-August
[Fees] Examination fee: 9,800 yen; Admission fee: 28,200 yen; Tuition: 14,800 yen per credit

Research student
This program is designed for students in undergraduate or graduate programs who wish to conduct research on a specific topic.

Tosa Food Business Creator Human Resources Development Project (Tosa FBC)
Many fresh ingredients produced in Kochi Prefecture are shipped out of the prefecture while still fresh. At Tosa FBC, industry, academia, and government collaborate to implement a program that integrates production, processing, distribution, and sales, fostering professionals capable of leading the food industry.

Shikoku Hospital Management Program
This program is specifically designed for hospital management. It trains hospital administrators and on-site managers to effectively apply the OODA (Observe, Orient, Decide, Act) framework.

Certificate Program in Healthcare Innovation
This program cultivates professionals who bridge the fields of medicine and engineering through "human interaction" to create innovations that advance healthcare. Upon completion of the program, participants will receive a certificate of completion issued in accordance with the School Education Act.

Kochi CST Training and Development Program (Intermediate CST)
This program was developed in collaboration with the Kochi Prefectural Board of Education to train science teachers (Kochi CST) who possess a solid foundation of specialized knowledge and skills in science and will serve as core members of the science education community in Kochi Prefecture’s schools and local communities. It is designed for graduate students and current elementary, junior high, and high school teachers in Kochi Prefecture.
