５月22日、地域協働学部が学術交流・教育連携に取り組んでいる 国立曁南国際大学 の 林怡資 先生をお招きし、２年生フェーズフリー防災班の実習時間に、「台湾と日本の防災文化から、高知の子どもたちと家庭の力を考える ― 水害・土砂災害・地震対策」と題した講演を行っていただきました。

当日は、実習班の学生だけでなく、学部の上級生や、イタリア・サッサリ大学 からの留学生も参加し、それぞれの文化との比較を通して防災教育について学びました。

林先生は、コミュニティ防災や防災教育の専門家として、台湾で「防災を人々の暮らしの中に戻す」活動に取り組まれています。台湾は、コミュニティで支え合う防災の先進的な社会として知られており、災害発生時には企業や宗教団体などが連携し、迅速な被災者支援を行うことでも知られています。

講義では、台湾と日本の事例比較に加え、先日フェーズフリー防災班が訪問した須崎市での実習内容も踏まえながら、パズルゲームなどのワークを通して、体験的に防災を「自分ごと」として考えました。

学生たちは、英語と日本語を交えながら、それぞれの文化や考え方、できることの違いについて想像力を働かせ、活発な議論を交わしていました。

 

On May 22, the Faculty of Regional Collaboration at Kochi University welcomed Professor Lin Yi-Tzu from National Chi Nan University for a special lecture with the second-year Phase-Free Disaster Prevention Team.

Focusing on disaster prevention cultures in Taiwan and Japan, the session encouraged students to think about floods, landslides, earthquakes, and the role of local communities and families in disaster preparedness. Alongside comparisons between Taiwan and Japan, students also reflected on recent fieldwork conducted in Susaki through interactive activities such as puzzle-based workshops.

The program brought together not only members of the practicum team, but also senior students and international students from University of Sassari, creating an international and multicultural learning environment.

Throughout the session, students actively exchanged ideas in both English and Japanese, exploring differences in culture, perspectives, and approaches to disaster education and community support.
