Dr. Yuji SANO, the director of MaCRI, was selected as one of the recipients of the Norman L. Bowen Award and Lecture by the American Geophysical Union on September 15th, 2023. The award ceremony and commemorative lecture meeting will take place at the AGU Fall Meeting in San Francisco between December 11th and 15th, 2023. The AGU boasts approximately 600,000 members and is one of the world's largest academic societies in the field of Earth Science.

Dr. Yuji SANO, the director of MaCRI recieved the Award of Valuable Contribution to Research at the International Symposium on Water-Rock Interaction and the International Symposium on Applied Isotope Geochemistry held in Sendai City on August 18-22, 2023.
