Clinical Science Course

Objective

Remarkable advance of science has been seen distinguishingly in the fields of life science and medical science, but eventual objective of science is that results of research make much return to human society. In medical settings where such return happens, to practice medicine with medical technique combining medical-science-based-knowledge and sophisticated clinical skills is required. Meanwhile, it will be crucial to consider how doctor-patient relationship and medical care system should be as the basis supporting such practice.

The course is divided into 2 sub-clusters; “Clinical Research & Clinical Technique Cluster” and “Preventive Medicine and Public Health Cluster”, so as to address issues illustrated above and to conduct academic research respectively.

In “Clinical Research & Clinical Technique Cluster”, students basically participate in systematic education and training program with objective evaluation system for clinical techniques. They further learn from research focused on issues observed in clinical settings, and then we grow medical practitioners having research mindset and sophisticated clinical techniques. On the other hand, we plan to grow researchers who can contribute to promotion of sophisticated clinical techniques with perspective of focusing on issues generated in clinical settings, in “Preventive Medicine & Public Health Cluster”.

  • We will grow researchers who have rich understanding to human nature and deep ethics, can keenly prospect medical issues generated by clinical settings and solve the issues properly in field of medicine and medical science throughout “Clinical Research & Clinical Techniques Cluster”. We will also grow doctors with specialties who have rich research mindset, problem-solving capability and sophisticated clinical techniques. Additionally, we will grow human resources capable of training junior medical practitioners to be excellent in terms of clinical medicine.
  • We will grow specialists of preventive medicine, including epidemiology, community medicine and environmental medicine, throughout “Preventive Medicine & Public Health Cluster”. Meanwhile, we will grow human resources who acquire rich human nature, deep ethics, research mindset and problem-solving capability, and can make great contribution with high level of professional knowledge and skills. We will further grow human resources who have training ability for junior medical practitioners to make great advance.
  • We will grow human resources who can adjust to rapidly occurring technological innovation in the field of medical science recently and change of societal structure, as well as actively accept students who work throughout both sub-clusters.
